~Nature, to me, can be a place of escape and beauty, it can also be a place of mystery and danger.~

In this age of modernization and digitalization, our notions and perspective of beauty are through social media. These photographs were taken using film, a traditional medium to archive these natural landscape, and digitally edited these landscape aesthetically to fits our idea of beauty.

Dreamland is a series started in Singapore, where urban proliferation is almost everywhere. There are hardly any natural landscape in Singapore that are untouched by human presence. Parks and gardens soon became the idea of natural landscape.

This series aims to explore and form a connection with nature from a different perspective and questions the general viewer of our perceptions of the natural landscape. What if nature is not just green, but a different range of colours, will we then look at nature differently?
